Dependability & Strength

- The Unique Acclaimed™ roof was designed to protect your home for 50 years with the strength and durability of steel.
- To prove the durability of our metal roofing Underwriters Laboratory tested these metal shingles for impact resistance, giving them a rating of ‘Class 4′.
- The steel roof is noncombustible, given a Class ‘A’ fire rating, also meaning it has a high degree of fire protection.
- No other roofing material has greater ability to withstand a wider range of weather conditions – including windstorms, hail, ice and snow.
- No matter the weather conditions, the Unique steel shingles are corrosion-resistant and guaranteed not to not crack, burn, curl, split or rot.
Acclaimed™ roof systems are pressure formed from aluminum zinc alloy coated steel. The metal shingles are then covered with an acrylic bonded stone chip finish for a beautiful look that resists fading and UV penetration while doubling as an ice and water shield. These corrosion-resistant shingles are made of interlocking panels that provide a weather-tight barrier, guaranteed to be a safeguard from the elements.
Unique’s stone coated metal roofing shingles are non-porous, meaning they are freeze/thaw resistant and will not crack, burn, curl, split or rot. This dependable material was given an impact resistance rating of ‘Class 4′ from Underwriters Laboratory (UL). Class 4 rated materials can withstand winds of up to 120 mph and these materials are known for their ability to hold up against weather forces—including windstorms, hail, ice, and snow. The resistance of impact was tested by UL as they simulated hailstones falling at peak velocity. No other roofing material has greater ability to withstand a wider range of weather conditions.
Furthermore, the steel is noncombustible, classified as a Class ‘A’ fire rated material. Class ‘A’ is the highest degree of fire resistance, and only given to roofing material once both the material and the installation practices have been evaluated.
Most metal roofs are 50% lighter than an asphalt shingle roof and 75% lighter than concrete tile, fiber cement shakes and slate. The Unique metal roof offers the look of a heavy weight architectural shingle, with less than half the actual weight. This metal roofing shingle weighs a mere 1.25 pounds per square foot installed. This outstanding capability of being lightweight, yet durable, allows the metal roof to withstand foot traffic. This lightweight feature also puts less pressure on the structure, extending the life of the home.
